CLIENT PROFILE

Galaxy Media is a digital media company offering subscription video services and live streaming for events. Their goal is to create engaging experiences for fans worldwide, and take advantage of the latest and greatest digital technologies to attract and connect with customers.

SITUATION

Even though the team at Galaxy Media was using Sage Intacct’s easy-to-use financial management and accounting software and Concur’s expense and invoicing solution, they depended on email to drive their expense and invoice approval process. That means they were manually entering transaction details into Intacct, putting data accuracy at risk as well as slowing down an already cumbersome process. They wanted to establish an approval workflow that would accommodate at least one approval per invoice while making it it easy for team members to go into their system and find out if an invoice was approved, and who approved it.

STRATEGY

Galaxy Media engaged Wipfli to implement their ExpenseConnect and InvoiceConnect connector solutions. These customized third-party connectors make it possible for vendor and invoice information to track between Concur and Sage Intacct automatically, eliminating the need for the finance team to go through the arduous process of manually converting txt files to delineated files.

With the integrations, an employee can enter expense and invoice details directly into Concur. Since Wipfli defined data mappings and integration settings within Galaxy Media’s Sage Intacct—without custom development—the appropriate transactions are seamlessly moved over for processing with no additional steps.
